I’ve had a very long career, from Harvard College to CBS, Merrill Lynch and Carl Ally Advertising early on, then a career as a commercial deep sea diver in Africa.

Back in the US I’ve become an entrepreneurial junkie – I’ve started 8 new businesses in my life – three of them working right now. I started my latest career, as a business coach 12 years ago.

Now, what I’m most excited about – Caring for the Caregiver.

Roger Schilling

Roger Schilling – Champion

Roger Schilling is a life-long resident of Syosset, Long Island, New York. He  has been married to Sue Belevich Schilling for 35  years. They have a daughter, Blair Christina Schilling, currently attending Goucher College, who will be spending this next semester at University of Ireland at Galway.  Roger is currently President of Profit & Pension Planners, providing design, installation and administrative services ..  Both Roger and Sue have been active duty Fire Fighters and EMTs with the Syosset Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years.  Roger became involved with Caring For The Caregiver in 2008, and sees his work for Caring For The Caregiver as a natural outgrowth of his service to the community.

Karen Schief

Karen Schief – Executive Director

A native of Long Island, Karen Schief started her professional career with Pan American World Airways and has been involved in the airline industry ever since.
She has been associated with the Episcopal Church all her life and has held various positions in her local parish, St. Bede’s Episcopal Church, Syosset as Vestry Member, Clerk, and is currently one of the Wardens of the Parish.
She has always been actively involved in outreach and fundraising activities so when the opportunity presented itself to get involved with Caring for the Caregiver, she jumped at the chance.
Karen has been a caregiver for her parents and at one time, her husband, Bob, and knows all too well the stresses, fears and overwhelming tasks that caregivers face on a daily basis. This is why Caring for the Caregiver has become such an important part of her outreach activities and that of her Church. Karen and Bob reside in Syosset.
