Element: Fire. This chakra acts like a radiat sun, storing energy for future use. dsince it stores energy it is action oriented.
Location:Solar Plexus 1 inch above the navel.
Physical Body Parts:Upper abdomen, umbilicus to rib cage, liver, gallbladder, middle spine, spleen, kidney, adrenals, small intestines, stomach
Consciousness: Our relationship to ourselves.
Primary Fears: Fear of rejection, oversensitivity to criticism, self-image fears, fears of our secrets being found out, indecisiveness
Primary Strengths: Self esteem, self respect, self discipline, ability to complete tasks, handle crisis, take risks. In short, owning power.
Un-dealt with Issues: Anyone experiencing dysfunction of the third chakra is having difficulty obtaining or maintaining his/her own "personal power". This intuitive chakra is where we get our "gut instincts" that signal us to do or not to do something. Strong self-esteem is a required for developing intuitive skills.
Mantra: "I CAN "I own my own strength and power. I appreciate all my wonderful qualities that make me unique.
SACRED TRUTH: HONOR ONESELF. The spiritual goal of this chakra is to help us mature in our self-understanding, the raltionship we have with ourselves. our identity becomes separate from our elders. Indoing this, we gain self-respect and self-esteem. |

EXERCISE: THE SUN BREATHE:
Stand upright with arms in prayer position at heart center. Inhale and raise arms above head shoulder distance apart. Exhale, fold forward bending knees if needed with palms flat on the floor. Inhale and place hands on shins and look forward. Exhale and fold back towards the ground, palms once again flat on the floor. Inhale and come back to standing with arms raised above head, shoulder width apart. Exhale. Bring hands back to prayer position. Repeat.

INTUITION PRACTICE:
After clearing your mind with a few cleansing sun breaths practice strengthening your intuition with a couple of exercises.

#1: Before answering the phone see if you can tell whooo's calling you.

#2: Keep a one-week journal of what crosses your path, from the smallest to the largest detail.
Look for patterns of color, categories, similar events or events occurring at the same time, etc.
This increases your awareness of messages from the universe.
